When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbor's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

Both times that I was sitting around being way-too-pregnant and discussing the final contenders for names for my kids with my Mom and Grandma, it would come down to the "backdoor test". Once you have a name you really like, you go to the back door, open it, lean out, and yell the name; first, middle, and last. If it sounds good, it's a keeper. The logic here is, that's how you're going to be using the name most often between the ages of mobility and college, so it better sound good.
